GYFTC8Y is a figure-8 optical fiber cable which is constructed with a central FRP for strength. Surrounding this core is a bundle of loose tubes made from high-modulus plastic. Each tube houses multiple 250µm optical fibers and is filled with a water-resistant compound .These tubes are then stranded around the central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core and wrapped in the water blocking tape. Finally, stranded wires are incorporated for support, and the entire assembly is encased in a polyethylene (PE) sheath, resulting in the distinctive figure-8 shape.
